The Five Success Principles

What's the difference between a person who dreams about their health and someone who achieves the dream of fitness? What I'm going to teach you WILL change your life. Not might, but WILL. International writer and teacher John C Maxwell, the author of over 72 books on success principles, teaches some game-changing principles that will without a doubt change your life.

He teaches that there are five rules that can really make an impact on your life, and that is what this article is going to focus on. He shares a story that may help you think about your success in different terms. Pretend that there is a tree in your backyard that you need to cut down, so you get an ax ready for the job.

Then you walk up to the tree and swing your ax at it five time and then stop for the day. However, the next day you do it again: five more swings at the tree. Then you stop again. The following day you do the exact same thing. You swing five times and call it a day.

If you were to continue doing this every day with careful discipline and consistency, can you predict what will happen to the tree? It is going to come down. It may take several days or even months, but the tree has no choice but to come down.

What you need to decide is what your health tree is. What goal do you need to get serious about and apply the "Rule of 5" to? Do you need to lose ten pounds? 100 pounds? It does not matter. What matters is whether you will take the needed steps to see it through.

The right actions are: stretch for 5-10 minutes, have a daily dose of dense nutrition, drink at least 80 ounces of water, exercise for 30 minutes and sleep for 7-9 hours. Consistently swing 5 times at your personal "fitness tree" every day. Not most of the days, but every day and you could be on your path to the most successful life of fitness you actually achieve.
