There are good fats and bad fats just as there are good and bad cholesterol. An example of good fat is fish oil and you want to add 6 grams of it to your daily diet. Bad fats are anything that require frying and you want to cut down on the bad fat as much as possible. Also, consume plenty of fresh vegetables because they give your body the nutrition it needs. Add more whole grain bread, brown rice and other fiber rich foods to your diet. When it comes to protein, choose lean meats like fish and chicken without the skin as your source of protein.

Another routine that you need to incorporate is doing low-impact aerobic exercises to burn calories. Riding stationary bike is an excellent way of burning calories. Another low-impact exercise is the elliptical, it burns a great amount of calories and not hard on your joints. I see many women do cardio/aerobic the wrong way all the time in gym. You DO NOT have to put in long sessions on the cardio machines to see results, in fact, exercising this way is counterproductive to your goal of lose belly fat. Long sessions for cardio can actually produce too much cortisol and as many of you probably know this already, cortisol leads to belly fat. Yet, many women spend countless hours in the gym doing this in their quest to have a lean and attractive body.
